In whale season, whale watching is a popular and absorbing pastime for the Thrums visitors. Two patios flank the main indoor outdoor area to allow you to find a protected spot from the sun. It is an easy walk to both Southbroom Main Beach and “Granny’s” tidal pool. Southbroom Beach boasts safe surf swimming with lifeguards in attendance during holiday seasons, excellent waves for surfers and a large lagoon popular with wind surfers. Granny’s Pool is a safe haven for young parents with small children. The fascinating rock pools are an added attraction, as is excellent fishing for the enthusiast.
